Privacy policy

Last updated: October 14, 2026

Kickhollow is made by The Open Apps, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("we", "us"). This policy covers the Kickhollow plugin in ChatGPT and the website kickhollow.ambientapp.ai, including conference invite pages. It explains what we collect, why, who receives it, how long we keep it and how it is deleted.

The short version

  • You don't create an account. ChatGPT sends us an anonymous user ID, which we scramble before storing.
  • Your program holds only the game: your made-up town and mascot, the fictional roster, your lineup, game plan, recruiting and results.
  • Programs are deleted 180 days after you last play, or at once when you ask ChatGPT to delete your program.
  • We don't show ads, sell data, send marketing email, or use analytics or advertising cookies.

What we collect

What Where it comes from Why we need it
A scrambled (hashed) form of the anonymous user ID that ChatGPT sends ChatGPT So your program is yours. We never receive your name, email address or chat history
Your program: the town name you type, the mascot you pick, the generated roster and depth chart, your game plans, recruiting actions, game results and season history You, through ChatGPT and the card To run the game
Your conference: the schools in it, the schedule, results and standings, and which coaches have locked in for the next game day The game To run a conference you share with friends
The time zone ChatGPT shares from your approximate location ChatGPT To start a new game day at midnight where you are. We keep the time zone only, not your location
Technical logs: the time, the page or tool used, response codes, errors, the approximate country, time zone, language and app type ChatGPT reports, and scrambled forms of the user, conversation and workspace IDs ChatGPT sends Your browser or ChatGPT To keep the service running and secure and to find problems. Logs never contain town or school names, player or recruit names, conference codes, game plans or IP addresses
Support messages: your email address and message You To answer you

We don't collect names, email addresses (except when you write to support), contacts, photos, precise location, IP addresses or ChatGPT conversations. Please don't type real people's names or real school names into the game: every player and school in Kickhollow is fictional.

About ChatGPT. You play Kickhollow in ChatGPT, where OpenAI handles the conversation under OpenAI's privacy policy.

How we use it

  • To run your program and your conference: simulate games, process recruiting, and keep standings and history.
  • To keep the service secure and working, and to answer support requests.

We don't use any of it for advertising, profiling or training AI models.

Who receives it

The other coaches in your conference Your school's name, record, results, box scores, and which recruits you have offered or visited (shown as the school a recruit leans to). Never your game plan It is a shared conference

How long we keep it

Data How long
Your program Until you delete it, or 180 days after you last used it
A conference Until its last coach's program is deleted
Technical logs 30 days
Support emails 12 months

Deleting sooner. Ask ChatGPT to "delete my Kickhollow program": it is deleted at once, and your school's seat in the conference goes to a computer-coached school. Your past games stay in your conference's results for the rest of that season, shown as played by "a former member", and are removed when the season ends. You can also ask us at support@theopenapps.com.

Children

Kickhollow is for ages 13 and up. It is not directed at children under 13. If you think a child under 13 has given us personal data, email support@theopenapps.com and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your data, or to object to how we use it. Email support@theopenapps.com and we will answer within 30 days. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies and storage in your browser

Kickhollow sets no cookies and uses no analytics.

Security

Connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Your program is tied to a scrambled form of ChatGPT's anonymous user ID, so only you can change it.

Where data is processed

We are based in the United States. Our servers are run by Hetzner Online GmbH. OpenAI may process data in the United States and other countries, under its own privacy and security commitments.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, say so on the website.
