High-school football dynasty · in ChatGPT

Build a small-town program into a dynasty.

Recruit prospects whose real ratings you can't see, set the depth chart and call the game plan. A game engine plays one game day per real day, and ChatGPT calls the action from the play-by-play.

How it works

  1. Start a program

Ask ChatGPT: “Let's play Kickhollow.” You get a made-up town, a 36-player roster and a seat in an 8-school conference.

  2. Run it your way

Spend 10 recruiting hours a day scouting, calling and hosting visits. Pick your starters. Read the opponent's scouting report and call run-heavy, balanced or pass-heavy.

  3. Play one game day a day

The engine plays the game; ChatGPT narrates the key moments. Seven conference games, then semifinals and placement finals, then Signing Day.

Recruiting with hidden ratings

Star ratings are a guess. Some 2-star kids are better than some 4-stars. Scout to narrow the range, call to learn what a recruit cares about, host an official visit, and offer before a rival does. On Signing Day he picks the school he likes most.

A conference with your friends

Share your conference code. Friends' programs replace computer-coached schools: you play each other, chase the same recruits, and the game day kicks off when every coach has locked in, or at 7 PM.

Questions

Does ChatGPT decide who wins?

No. A deterministic game engine plays every game from both teams' lineups and game plans. ChatGPT only narrates the moments the engine returns, so it can't fudge a score or hand you a win.

Can ChatGPT tell me how good a recruit really is?

No. True ratings stay on our server. You, and ChatGPT, see the star rating from the recruiting services, which is sometimes wrong, and your own scouting range, which narrows each time you scout him. You find out for sure when he signs.

Can I play with friends?

Yes. Every conference has a 6-letter code. Friends start their own program with your code and take over computer-coached schools in your conference, so you play each other and fight over the same recruits.

Why only one game a day?

It's a dynasty game, built for a few minutes a day: recruit, adjust the lineup, play the game, read the box score. A season is 9 game days, then Signing Day, then the next season.

Are the schools and players real?

No. Every town, school and player is made up. Name your town anything that isn't a real school, team or brand.

What does it cost?

Nothing. There are no ads and nothing to buy.
